~ Verse 1 ~
Yesterday seems like so long ago
Some dreams fulfilled and others I let go
Answers sought and found along the way
Yet in that time I never lived a perfect day
~ Verse 2 ~
Yesterdays were here but now they’re gone
Today is here now so I have moved on
To better days without leaving behind
The peace of something I need in my life
~ Pre-Chorus ~
I’m not talking about possessions or plenty
Those things aren't bound to last
So I can take them with me
~ Chorus 1 ~
I was lost till I found the means to provide me
The perfect peace of the hope that fulfills me
It’s the presence of God in my life
It’s only when I listen to Him speaking
I’m satisfied as his Spirit restores me
Oh why did I take so long to realize
Lord I was a fool
~ Verse 3 ~
No I never thought I’d see this day
It’s only by God’s mercy and His grace
What seemed to be impossibility
Has been removed and I have been set free
~ Verse 4 ~
It wasn’t twist of fate or just plain luck
It wasn’t simply anything I’d done
Who am I to call it destiny
I rather say that God was merciful on me
~ Pre-Chorus ~
Beyond my wildest dreams More than I could ask for
He showered my life with blessings
When I made the wise choices
I survived
~ Chorus 3 ~
I was lost till I found the means to provide me
The perfect peace of the hope that fulfills me
It’s the presence of God in my life
No matter what happens now I’m gonna keep trusting
And thank the Lord who once graciously saved me
He is all I should ever need
~ Chorus 4 ~
I was lost till I found the means to provide me
The perfect peace of the hope that fulfills me
It’s the presence of God in my life
No matter what happens now I’m gonna keep trusting
And thank the Lord who once graciously saved me
He is all I should ever need
Instead of foolish things

~ Verse 1 ~
I was born into darkness.
But light found its way.
Through the trials and the heartache,
I learned how to pray.
You mocked and you scorned me.
You left me broken and bruised.
But in the arms of my Savior,
I found love in truth.
~ Interlude ~
“He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: For they were too strong for me.”
-Psalm 18:17
~ Verse 2 ~
Through the years of rejection
And the pain that you caused,
I held on to His promise,
Despite feeling lost.
You laughed at my struggles,
Turned my joy into tears.
But Jesus stood by me,
Through all of my fears.
~ Interlude ~
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
-Psalm 23:4
~ Chorus ~
You don’t know what you’ve done,
‘Cause you don’t know Jesus’ way
And that I matter to Him.
It’s in His love I sustain
Till the day I will see Him
In Heaven’s embrace,
Where I pray that you’ll join me
To sing Amazing Grace.
~ Verse 3 ~
In the silence of sorrow,
I heard His sweet voice.
He whispered, “You are mine,”
And my heart did rejoice.
You may never understand
The depth of His love.
But I forgive you
And pray you’ll look above.
~ Verse 4 ~
As my body grows weaker,
My spirit stays strong;
For I know where I’m going.
It won’t be long.
I’ll walk streets of gold
With my Savior by my side.
And I hope you’ll be there
With hearts open wide.
~ Interlude ~
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
-Revelation 21:4
“For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.”
-2 Corinthians 4:17-18
{Repeat Chorus}
~ Refrain ~
O how sweet the sound of what saves a wretch like you.
Grace that finds the lost by shining light anew.
Open your heart. Let His love set you free.
Though now you are blind, through Him you will see.
{Repeat Chorus}
~ Outro ~
You don’t know what you’ve done,
‘Cause you don’t know Jesus’ way
And that I matter to Him.
It’s in His love I sustain.
“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God ‘will repay each person according to what they have done.’”
-Romans 2:5-6

My earnest plea of grace to those who don’t know what they’ve done.
In Jesus’ embrace, there is both comfort and a call to repentance. I pray this song brings comfort and solace to those of you who know the hurt expressed in my lyrics, providing hope in God’s love. At the same time, may its invitation to recognize destructive ways and seek reconciliation and peace through Christ reach those of you who have caused such unfortunate and regrettable pain. Together, may we walk the way of Jesus toward Heaven, where all His Saints can sing Amazing Grace in perfect harmony.

~ Verse 1 ~
Are you alone?
Did somebody hurt you?
Do you live in fear of what others might do?
Are you in pain? Your heart aches like you’re dying?
Have your eyes grown dim beneath the weight of your heavy load?
Are you just about to give up hope?
~ Chorus 1 ~
Have you fallen? Are you weak?
Lost strength and so weary?
No time to rest?
No place to hide?
Are you going to pray for the answers to the One who loves you?
He’s the way.
He’s the One who saves.
~ Verse 2 ~
The Lord -- He is the everlasting.
The Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary.
What He understands,
No one can really know.
But He’s the One who brings blessed hope.
~ Chorus 2 ~
He has power for the weak.
He gives strength to the weary.
He renews the strength of His fallen youth.
They will soar on wings like eagles.
They will run and not be weary.
They will walk not faint.

The Lord of Hope is everlasting.
- Inspirational Music by Jeff H. Ulrich (2023)
- Composed by Jeff H. Ulrich (2011)
He is the Everlasting, subtitled Lord of Hope, is of the divinely inspired message of Isaiah 40:28-31 .
God put the message of this song on my heart in 2011 for my very young daughter at the time for whom I sought His strength and wisdom to support her through her challenges. Upon earnest devotion to His message of assuring hope, we both found rest and the way forward to a miraculous outcome of healing.
May the message in this song resonate in your heart and fill you with the everlasting Hope.

~ Intro ~
~ Verse 1 ~
When I was lost—
Drifting all alone,
Not sure I’d ever come to find
My way,
‘Cause I was lost,
Trying to find my way—
Was in need of new direction.
I needed to know
Just where to go.
~ Interlude ~
~ Verse 2 ~
Heard someone say,
Jesus is the way.
A road not often traveled,
But still the same.
Just trust in Him.
Hear Him and obey.
Ask Him for direction,
And He will show you where to go.
You will find the place of His
Love before His throne.
~ Chorus 1 ~
But then I prayed:
If it’s so,
Tell me why do I feel so alone
And helpless.
O tell me,
O Lord,
Can You see
That I’m tattered and worn
In darkness?
Are you there?
~ Verse 3 ~
I heard others say
That, when things don’t go my way,
It doesn’t mean God’s absent
When I pray.
But I asked them:
Does He understand
That I’m only just a man,
Like a wounded sparrow,
One who is falling, going down,
Who needs gentle hands to catch him
Before he hits the ground?
~ Chorus 2 ~
I prayed:
I don’t know what to do
With burdens so heavy.
Lord, I am afraid
Of what I can’t handle.
What’s not in Your hands
Is not in mine, Lord.
It’s not hard to see that I’m helpless.
I need Your hands, Lord.
I’m in Your hands.
~ Refrain ~
Lord,
I am in Your hands.
O, Father above,
My life
Is in Your hands.
~ Bridge ~
~ Verse 4 ~
Does this sound familiar,
Desperation and despair,
A broken man with doubt
That God does care?
Well, yes, He does,
‘Cause I was just that man,
Struggling with things
I do not understand.
~ Verse 5 ~
Yet, He made His presence known.
He reached down from up high.
He did some miracles, so I could fly.
But much more than miracles,
He helped me to understand
Why I should not doubt
As I travel over troubled ground.
He has His perfect plan.
I need to trust He will not let me down.
~ Chorus 3 - Part 1 ~
So God, I pray to be strong,
Consistently faithful.
Not dwell on the things
That are not of You, Lord.
~ Chorus 3 - Part 2 ~
O God, I pray to be strong.
Consistently faithful,
Not dwell on the things
That are not of You, Lord.
~ Chorus 3 - Part 3 ~
Whenever I’m weak,
I should not stop reaching.
You will take my hand.
In Your perfect time, Lord,
You are there.
~ Refrain ~
Lord I know You’re there.
I‘m in Your hands.
Lord, I ‘m in Your hands.
My life is in Your hands.
O, Heavenly Father,
My life is in Your hands.
~ Outro ~
Lord, You are my Shepherd.
So Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
Shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

This is my song of climbing adversity’s mountain and taking a leap of faith into God’s hands.
Welcome, everyone. I’m Jeff, and I want to share today a deeply personal journey of faith, resilience, and the transformative power of love. Imagine facing life’s greatest adversities, yet finding the strength to climb those mountains and take a leap of faith into God’s hands. This is my story, and it’s one of miracles, unwavering belief, and a song that encapsulates it all. Stay with me as I take you through the highs and lows, and the incredible moments that shaped my faith
My journey of faith began at a very young age. Through the prayers of my church, I was miraculously granted partial sight from complete blindness at nine months old. At nine years old, I was brought back from the brink of death through prayer. Experiencing these miracles of God’s love and mercy, as well as facing many challenges throughout my childhood with Him, some related to functioning with only partial sight in the mainstream, laid the foundation for my unwavering belief in God’s presence and love.
In the mid-90s, I was in despair due to my inability to remedy the horrible suffering of a loved one, as well as financial hardship and my own physical problems. Despite these overwhelming circumstances, I still believed in God, although I felt lost.
By the late 90s, the aforementioned adversities culminated, and then I was alone. This period was marked by intense desperation and despair of grieving. Yet, I continued to reach out to the Lord for His mercy; for I could not deny my experience of the love that He had shown me.
In 2003, when my daughter was just six months old, I worked a consuming job that did not spare me much time and energy to be a good father. But I felt convicted to be more present in her life, due to a deep sense of dread for her future if I did otherwise. In earnest prayer and devotion, I felt called to make a significant change. Ultimately, I spent a Saturday afternoon in my church, privately praying in complete submission to God’s will. In the end, I felt at peace with resigning from my job, even though I had no new job lined up. The next day, I informed my wife of my decision. Upon doing so, the phone rang. The caller was the Superintendent of a school where I had interviewed a few months prior, offering me a position that allowed me to be there for my daughter in ways that would profoundly shape her future.
Throughout my daughter’s upbringing, I shared with her the story of my journey and the miracles that made our lives possible. Upon that foundation of faith and love, she grew to honor the Lord with her life. In June of 2024, she married well but is faithful to communicate and pray with me daily.
As for the Superintendent who hired me in 2003, he retired in September of 2024. Yet, especially because of the difference he made in our story, I will continue to honor him as a friend in Christ. This pillar of a man hired me, despite my visual impairment as well as showing up at the 2003 interview on crutches after breaking my hip in a bike accident. I could say that he took a leap of faith by hiring me.
This brings me to a song I finished writing in 2003, called “In Your Hands.” The song is not just a piece of music. Rather, it is a testament to my journey with the Lord up the slope of adversity to the summit where I took a crucial leap of faith. The inspiration spans years, starting in the mid-90s and culminating in 2003. The song came to me in three parts, reflecting different stages of my journey. The first part was written in the mid-90s, during that time of deep despair. The second part came in the late 90s, during that period of loss, intense desperation, and despair. The final part was written in 2003, during that time of prayer and devotion, when I felt compelled to make a significant change in my life.
In 2003, while in the private afternoon session of prayer at my church, I sang “In Your Hands” every 30 minutes to help me focus. This profound experience of submission to God’s will gave me the peace and direction I needed to move forward.
Reflecting on the journey of my song, I am reminded of the old hymn “Blessed Assurance” by Fanny Jane Crosby. The line “This is my story, this is my song” resonates deeply with me. “In Your Hands,” like many of my other songs, is not of the art of music but rather of my story and devotion to making meaning of my life with the Lord. My relationship with my daughter grew over the years as she came to know me more deeply through my compositions, some of which I composed when I was young, in some cases when I was younger than her. These songs are experiential chronicles of my faith journey, and they have helped her understand the challenges and questions I faced, which are often similar to those she, like most young people, face.
“In Your Hands” is a testament to the power of faith, the importance of trusting in divine guidance, and the transformative impact of love and support. This song serves as a reminder to all, and a personal reinforcement to me under my present circumstances, of the importance of seeking the Lord’s guidance and strength to overcome challenges as well as being attentive to the calling of His Holy Spirit to step out in faith.
In my experience, once you truly sense the calling of the Holy Spirit to reach and step out in faith beyond the threshold of your comfort and understanding, indeed you should: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” - Matthew 7:7
Thank you for joining me on this journey of faith and resilience. I hope my story has inspired you to trust in divine guidance and find strength in the face of adversity. I’m excited to announce that my song, ‘In Your Hands,’ which encapsulates this journey, will soon be released as a video right here on this YouTube channel. Additionally, you’ll be able to listen to it on most streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to stay connected. May you always find peace and strength in God’s hands. Thank you, and God bless.

My bright new Christmas song of the deeper meaning of Christmas—the beginning of forgiving.
This bright Christian Christmas song delves into the deeper meaning of Christmas—Christ’s purpose for being born into the world. He came to live among us, show us a love like no other, and ultimately die on the cross for our sins so that we could be forgiven. With heartfelt lyrics and a catchy melody, this song is a reminder of the love and forgiveness that Christ brought us.
I originally wrote this song for a youth Church Christmas play in 1996, and it has always held a special place in my heart. I hope it brings joy and inspiration to you and your loved ones this holiday season.

~ Verse 1 ~
Are you lost in your neighborhood?
Forgotten what you once understood?
Stayed away longer than you should?
~ Verse 2 ~
You moved out and then change moved in.
There’s a parking lot where you once lived.
Old friends gone and the Church condemned.
~ Chorus 1 ~
Daddy told you when you went away
To “return before the season change,
While there’s hope in this little town.
Please come home before the Son comes down.”
~ Verse 3 ~
Something’s wrong now in your hometown.
Population nowhere to be found.
Nothing moves. Nothing makes a sound.
~ Verse 4 ~
Found your roots but the tree is down.
There’s no more hope for you in this town.
Thought it would always be around?
~ Chorus 2 ~
Daddy said before he went away
He hoped you’d meet in Heaven someday.
Hoped you’d find the way to be found
By the One who would have saved you now.
~ Verse 5 ~
Can’t you see what it’s come down to?
The Christ has come. Tell me, where were you?
Now He’s gone. Nothing you can do.
~ Chorus 3 ~
Jesus taught before He went away,
About the hope of those who seek God’s face
That you lost – what you could have found
In repentance before He came down.
~ Outro ~
You’re out of time to change your mind.
Christ has come and gone.
You’ve been left behind.
Ah! Well Christ has come and gone.
Tell me, where were you?
Now He’s gone. Nothing you can do.

My musical derivative of the Prodigal Son Biblical parable but concluding in tribulation.
This song offers a profound and haunting derivative of the Biblical story of the Prodigal Son. In this evocative piece, the son returns home, not to the welcoming embrace of his family but to an empty desolate place marked by tribulation. The song delves deep into the harshest consequences of desiring the world over the blessings of home and faith, painting a vivid picture of loss and missed redemption.
Inspiration and Backstory:
When I was a child, two songs left an everlasting impression on me. One was “I Wish We’d All Been Ready” by Larry Norman, a poignant reminder of the urgency of faith. The other was “I Want to Die Easy” by Dr. C.J. Johnson, with its heartfelt lyrics about meeting loved ones in the afterlife and shouting salvation as one flies to heaven. These songs moved me early on to long to be in Heaven beyond this life, rather than be left behind in this world and away from loved ones.
The Biblical story of the Prodigal Son, where a wayward son returns home seeking forgiveness and redemption, also left a lasting impact on me. This combination of influences inspired me to write “Prodigal Tribulation Blues” in 1999, during my early 30s, out of heartfelt concern for the eternal soul of a wayward family member. This song reflects my fears and hopes, especially if that family member were to not return like the Prodigal Son or were to return only to find that he was too late, because Christ had returned and raptured His believers. The lyrics speak to the prodigal son returning to find his hometown desolate and realizing that Christ had come and he had been left behind. This piece is a somber reminder of the importance of seeking redemption before it’s too late.
"Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call on Him [for salvation] while He is near.
Let the wicked leave (behind) his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion (mercy) on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon." - Isaiah 55:6-7 (AMP)

~ Verse 1 ~
Are you captive in time to a world of no meaning,
Where fate’s worse than death if you love that life?
But there is the love that liberates.
It beckons to you. Yet, you procrastinate,
Wasting,
Just wasting your days.
~ Chorus 1 ~
But that love might not wait until tomorrow.
Christ is coming back real soon.
So if you wait until tomorrow,
The Son might pass right over you.
When His love is gone, what will you do?
~ Verse 2 ~
The Maker of Truth said we are forgiven.
God’s Son gave up His life for me and for you.
He could have decided to fly away.
He wasn’t responsible for our shame.
Love,
His Love, is pure.
~ Chorus 2 ~
But God might not wait until tomorrow.
(Light of) His Son is coming back real soon.
So if you wait until tomorrow,
The Son might pass right over you
When that day goes dark, what will you do?
~ Chorus 3 ~
Love might not wait until tomorrow.
(Light of the) Christ is coming back real soon.
So if you wait until tomorrow,
The Son might pass right over you.
~ Chorus 4 ~
(God’s love might not wait)
Love might not wait until tomorrow.
(I hope and) Pray tomorrow comes for you.
(For if you wait) And today is your last tomorrow,
The Son’s gonna pass right over you.
When your day is done, what will you do,
In darkness of eternal night?
- Inspirational Music by Jeff H. Ulrich (2023)
- Composed by Jeff H. Ulrich (1998)
There has been no greater love shown by God than through His Son's sacrifice, the light of forgiveness cast in darkness to save all who turn in time to love Him above all and follow His ways. My music video here stresses the importance of accepting God’s love and forgiveness before the day of judgment.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." - John 3:16-17
Therefore, ask Christ to come into your heart today. Trust in and follow Him. May He be your One true hope who leads you out of peril of eternal darkness into Salvation of His light of perfect peace.
When I wrote this song in 1998, my thoughts were of discernment that entertainment, media, and mainstream culture at large were steering us toward the destruction of end times. As one who was born in 1966, I could not help but notice the decline since then to where scripture like Isaiah 5:20 would apply to the many rather than the few:
"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" - Isaiah 5:20
Nowadays, even more so, this seems to apply.
Scripture also speaks of the condition of the world before Christ returns:
"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." - Matthew 24:37
In this year of 2023, as both Isaiah 5:20 and Matthew 24:37 now seem to speak more than ever to the spiritual condition of the world, I feel affirmed in my 1998 sense to be ever watchful for the day of the Lord. Whether Christ comes tomorrow or to a future generation, we are in a season of time in which no one who is watchful should be surprised at His rapture of the Church. Nevertheless, whether before the rapture or before your dying breath, I urge that you not wait until tomorrow to make your heart ready by the free gift of His pure love that shall never stop giving.
"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" - Mark 8:36
"whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." - James 4:14
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." - Revelation 3:20
"For 'whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'" - Romans 10:13

~ Verse 1 ~
Every day I kneel and pray Your light will guide my way,
Longing for your wisdom as I face another day.
But impatiently, I have asked of Thee.
Impatiently, I have asked of Thee.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. " - Psalms 32:8 (ESV)
~ Verse 2 ~
Friends say I need patience, but their words just fade away.
As the days turn into years, my hope begins to fray.
And I don’t know how
Or if I can go on now.
“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure." - Romans 8:25 (AMP)
~ Chorus 1 ~
Then You lift me up, Lord, and You show the way,
Revealing that You, Lord have a plan each day.
Let me be the first to say
Your plan is worth the wait.
“'For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, 'plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'" - Jeremiah 29:11 (NASB)
~ Verse 3 ~
Searching for the answers to the questions in my mind,
Knowing that in time the truth I’ll surely find.

- Orig. Music: Jeff H. Ulrich (1995)
- Orig. Lyrics: Jeff B. (1995)
This is a my rendition of a timeless song about faith and patience. In 1995, I composed the original music, and a dear friend, inspired by it, wrote the original heartfelt lyrics during his struggle with God’s timing. I found its message particularly relatable during my spiritual journey, especially amidst recent personal challenges.
Recently, I revisited our original analog recording and felt compelled to revise the music and adapt the lyrics to reflect my present-day application of its meaning. And to a world that increasingly struggles with patience and faith, this song emphasizes the importance of a prayerful and patient relationship with God.
Join in reflecting on faith, patience, and the realization that God’s plan is always worth the wait.

And sing the songs that glorify Your name.

Today the lame can rise at the feet of Jesus
Where they could stand as they rejoice
